Seer’s Academy, currently in a pre-production state, is a hybrid digital and tabletop RPG. Set in the distant future, the game has players take on the roles of students at an exclusive military academy, where they train to use the newly-discovered art of “visioncasting,” the closest thing to magic humanity has ever seen. Between play sessions, each player uses a companion mobile app to set a real-time, daily schedule for their character to follow, steadily leveling up various fields of knowledge, tactics, and weapon proficiencies. The mobile app is also used to track stats and otherwise aid the tabletop-RPG core experience.
I worked as the lead designer on this project for an experimental game design class along with Travis Ballard, who provided concept art and collaborated with me on world-building.
